This is how I define a great day

success3

Bottom line is I felt great. I had enough sleep and I got a lot done. I found $9,000 for my client, so while he was upset that it meant a mistake was made – not by any Nerds on this one thankfully :) I am sure he’ll be glad to know that he will be getting a check for $9K very shortly.

As I was heading home I felt really good. I felt a feeling of confidence that things are happening for me in a way that I have been wanting them to happen in a long time. It feels like everything I have been doing on the web is really starting to pay off now. It really seems as if anyone I think about is responding to my thoughts. In one case this happened in a negative way – I thought about a client I happily got rid of this year and next thing I know I get an e-mail from him asking me for $5,000! This was what my “Rage” post was about last week. Today I was ok with it all. Even that one because ultimately the experience of receiving that e-mail as disturbing as it was especially when it was clearly timed right before the Holiday weekend (shows you the kind of person we’re dealing with) my response to it was one I can say I am really proud of. I kept the feelings out of it.

Also yesterday’s video called “Finding Out What You Love To Do and then Figuring Out How To Make Money Doing It” is very possibly one of my best yet. Then I had a meeting with someone yesterday which I am fairly certain has marked the beginning of the deepening of a great relationship with someone on both a business and personal level. He is introducing me to some people at Lynda.com and the hope is that they will pick me up to fill their QuickBooks and Excel space for their e-learning content. That’s only one part of it. We talked about a number of other things and it is such a relief to deal with high integrity, just generally quality people. I feel like I have worked my ass off to get here and it is just about to explode!

So I drove home today with this deep sense of “everything feels really good” and I still have that feeling. What a great note to end the day on!

A great day is a day when I just feel good all day!

That’s too funny, Lynda.com is based out of Ventura, CA. A couple of my musician friends work there. What a small world. Anyhow, I agree with everything you’ve mentioned. Client relations is extremely important. Working for yourself, it’s even more important. You can never have enough happy and satisfied clients. Keep on working hard!
