I got off to an early start this morning! I find that when I do this the day usually just goes better. This is probably because the day is really made up of a lot of moments strung together and one leads right into the next. Sometimes I get into a really bad habit of running from bed right to the computer. Today I didn’t do that. I did what I know always works better, but it’s hard to ignore the call of the computer. It works better when I start the day with something personal, something balanced. Today it was right to feed and walk the dogs. An early morning walk like that gives me an incredible sense of peace. I look around at the neighborhood I live in and I am grateful to be able to live in a nice home I a nice neighborhood. I am blessed and I can feel that very deeply when I take the time to appreciate it. It is the very literal form of stopping and smelling the roses. And I do that too. I have several Rose bushes in my backyard. In fact that’s where I am headed now, to tend to the yard and along the way I am literally going to stop and smell the roses!

Mornings are great, but then again so are nights. I think it boils down to the times when the world around you is at “peace”. If there is friction going on, or too many “moving parts”, then everything gets jumbled, and nothing GOOD gets accomplished.
