The Premier edition has more features than Pro. When Pro just isn't doing everything you want,or if it is running slow that could be a sign that you are outgrowing QuickBooks Pro. QuickBooks Pro is meant to handle up to so many customer, vendor, employee, and other names and transactions.

Some of the key advantages to QuickBooks Premier are:

  • Ability to handle larger volume of data.
  • More reporting capability - previous reconciliations and more.
  • Ability to see totals when posting journal entries.

Quickbooks Premier Accountant's edition is the one to get in my opinion. It isn't that much more than QuickBooks Pro and there are many more benefits. You can toggle to any of the industry specific editions:

You can see a detailed QuickBooks product comparison on Intuit's website here: http://quickbooks.intuit.com/product/accounting-software/quickbooks-comparison-chart.jsp
