Tips for standing out when looking for a job

LinkedIn – Groups

Facebook – set up a professional page (business page) and post to it daily. Go to any page and click “Create a Page“

Blog – create a professional blog.

Post a weekly or even daily (if you’re unemployed you have the time) tip about your professional experiences.

You have more knowledge in your head than you realize.

A classic interview question is when the interviewer asks you to describe a specific challenge you’ve had and describe how you over came it.

Your first post should answer one important question.. “Why?”

Why do you want to work?

Why do you want to work in your chosen profession.

Why do you want to revolutionize your field?

Actually each of those questions can be a different post.

   He breaks it down in a similar way and it was really insightful. It changed my mission statement and really helped me understand where to start when asked “And what do you do?”

   Mr. Nerd,
   It was refreshing to find your webpage. I needed a QB answer and your short video, though fast, was helpful. You have better teaching skills than most and your enthusiasm helped me focus on the content. I still have bookkeeping questions and wondered if I could get some specific help. I will keep looking online until I hear from you. I am in need of an ongoing resource and wonder if you are the right place to look?

   Thank you Marci! It is always refreshing to get this kind of feedback! I can help you with ongoing needs. In fact I was getting so many requests for this that I decided to build a separate website dedicated to nothing but QuickBooks Help. You can find it at QuickBooksAnswers.Info. Once there you can sign up and I have 2 instructors right now, Harold and Bruce and they are amazing. You can get time with them or me.
