Some MLM guy spammed my Facebook wall. I constantly laugh when I see stuff like this. The sad and scary part is that these tactics obviously work or people wouldn’t be using them. They prey on people’s desperation. If you want to learn how to make money online look for the people who tell you that it takes passion, hard work and dedication. That it takes planning, execution, and most of all.. Patience. You have to actually care and in my own opinion and experience you have to get out there and offer something that really helps people – ESPECIALLY in today’s online climate. One of the great things about these times is that we have a built in system for weeding out the people who are worthless! The people who are offering something strictly for their own benefit. One of the great things about Ebay is the rating system. It forces people to offer quality and stand by their products. One bad rating is all it really takes to destroy your reputation. The same is true on the web at large. Information is so readily available that it doesn’t take much to destroy your own reputation. All you have to do is go out there, be insincere and offer garbage.
So instead of just deleting the post I decided to have a little fun at the expense of the poster. He offers an excellent way of doing business. He might as well say something like “Hey come to my deceitful website and do business with me”. Then watch as people run far and fast, which is exactly what you should do when you see garbage like this on the web:

Hey Seth,
“It looks like he threw up a little”. LMAO. I think I almost peed a little after hearing that so unexpectedly. Awesome.
Anyway, I agree with your take on all spamming and MLM related landing pages. I worked for a woman briefly that needed me to design a marketing campaign for her product. She advised me to use the Jonathan Budd program – which is basically some young guy who brags about his earnings for the first portion of his tutorial, then goes on to teach you how to become a millionaire like him. After about 10 minutes, I realized that the email form he recommends that will log all contact information for further spamming? It’s the same one I just entered my information into to watch that pointless video. He definitely succeeded in making em feel like an idiot. Not sure if that was his goal.
Either way, I entered a whole sub-culture of network marketing I’d never known existed. It was actually my first look at the whole scene. I’ll admit it didn’t leave me the best impression. Luckily, I’ve since learned tons of ways to market without spamming. I just wish good ol’ Gaston would get the hint.
